A close port side view of the New Zealand frigate Otago (1958) in Malaysian waters

A close port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the New Zealand frigate Otago (1958) steaming close alongside the Royal Navy frigate Brighton (1959) during a patrol in Malaysian waters. The Otago is temporarily attached to the 24th Escort Squadron and has a single 40 mm Mk 3 Bofors gun mounted on deck abaft her motor boat. Everything forward of her funnel is out of the picture. The photographer is on the starboard side of the Brighton looking to starboard and aft from the upper deck amidships.
