A general view of some of the hutted accommodation at the forward operating base of a detachment of 845 Naval Air Commando Squadron at Nanga Gaat in the jungle of Sarawak, which operated from 19 August 1963 to 23 June 1965 during the Indonesian and Malaysian Confrontation. The wooden huts are mainly on stilts and some have corrugated iron roofs while others have interwoven or thatched roofs.
