The ship is berthed port side to the jetty and the photographer is looking at the aft superstructure from just ahead of the beam showing the boat davits, aft directors, aft 5 inch D.P. gun mount and twin Tartar missile launcher. The Ricketts' crew consisted of 10 officers and 164 crew from the US Navy with the rest of the complement being from West Germany, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Turkey as a mixed manning experiment.
