The town and harbour of Aalesund, Norway
A view of the town of Aalesund and the Aspevaagen in Norway, taken from the lower slopes of Aksla Hill looking south-west towards the island of Hessia. On the extreme left on the south side of the town is the passenger terminal Storneskaia. To the right of centre is Aalesund Church in Aspoya. Anchored out in the Aspevaagen is the passenger cruise liner Carinthia (1925) with Mount Hessa beyond her.
