The photographer is on board a boat in Isfjord looking south-west into the harbour showing the end of the finger jetty with the stern of a Fred Olsen & Co steam ship alongside. The ship's name has five letters and she has a counter stern. A building in the centre of the picture has a ladder leaning against it and to the right is the premises of Harald Unhjem. A souvenir shop and passenger slipway are on the right with the Victoria Hotel beyond them.
