The waterfront and breakwater at Ajaccio, Corsica
The waterfront and breakwater at Ajaccio, Corsica, seen from the harbour looking west. The breakwater is constructed of square stone blocks and does not appear to be complete. The buildings on the waterfront and immediately beyond are backed by wooded hill slopes. Just to the left of centre is the Cathedral to Our Lady of Assumption and on the left is the Citadel and lighthouse.
