The Compagnie Generale Transatlantique terminal quay in the north harbour at Algiers, showing a starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the steam tug Furet II (1930) berthed alongside to seaward end of the quay. In the right background alongside the Societe Generale De Transports Maritimes quay is the passenger/cargo ship Sidi Brahim (1910). Four and five storey buildings front the upper roadway including the premises of the Hotel Oasis, the Brasserie Universelle, the Tabacs, the Credit Lyonnais, the Entreprises A Hamadun and the Orient Supply Co. On the extreme right is the lift tower from the waterfront to the upper road.
