Timballo

National 18 sailing dinghy, called 'Timballo'. The vessel is a clinker-built, bermudian-rigged, day sailing and racing boat with a side, fore and aft decking. This particular boat is mahogany planking of rock elm frames with pine decks. The mast and boom are pine and the standard rigging is stainless steel. The sails are cotton by Ratsey and Lapthorn of 1938: there is a mainsail, jib and spinnaker. The centre plate is iron and the rudder mahogany, with three tillers of different lengths.
