Ceremonial Barge
Official rowing barge, wooden and clinker built with carved and gilded decoration. It has an enclosed coach (cabin) with small windows and externally decorated with elaborate carving including trophies of arms, classical figures and heraldic emblems, none of which have hitherto received sufficient study to determine their exact significance. Its exact date is also unknown though the generally rococo style of the carving suggests mid-18th century.
