Royal Barge
The Service Vessel is a rowing barge from the H.M.Y. Victoria and Albert (1899). The vessel is called 'Queen Victoria's Barge'. Its construction is triple skin diagonal mahogany planks on steamed oak frames and includes the distinctive curved air cases running from the bow to the beginning of the stern sheets which acted as a life saving capacity providing additional buoyancy if the hull was damaged. It has been painted.
