Mounted horsemen with gun carriages, possibly at an event on Southsea Common
Two studies on both sides of a single sheet, showing horse artillery exercising or taking part in a formal display, with the masts of a sailing ship in the background in both cases. This suggests it is probably at Portsmouth with possibly the masts of 'Victory' (still afloat until late 1921) in the distance, or one of the other training ships still in the harbour
