The commercial waterfront at Amboina in the Moluccas.

The commercial waterfront at Amboina in the Moluccas. On the left is a shed with BPM on the gable end and Ambon on the roof. Boats and people are gathered around the passenger landing slip and eleven pitched roof sheds or storehouses are at the back of the wharf next to it. The centre building has Douanekantoor on it. The forward part of the Gouvernementsmarine patrol vessel Fomalhaut (1923), seen from off her port side ahead of the beam, is on the right. The photographer is on a cruise on board the Cunard passenger ship Franconia (1923).
