A roofless stone building in Nelson's Dockyard at English Harbour on the island of Antigua in the Leeward Islands. The photographer is looking at a triple arched gable end with more walls beyond it containing a door and window openings. A plaque is fixed near the apex of the gable and the inscription is not at all clear but appears to read "Erected 1780 by order of H? Excel? Lieut. Genl. Mattiem?" A vertical format negative.
