Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, on the island of Antigua, Leeward Islands
Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, on the island of Antigua in the Leeward Islands, looking west from the opposite side of the harbour. In the foreground is a muzzle loading cannon mounted on a decorative cast iron wheeled carriage. All of the buildings in the dockyard appear to be in good order with well maintained roofs. The capstan row is in the centre of the picture and the buildings to the left are the paymaster's office, the officer's quarters and the copper and lumber store. To the right of the line of motor cars are the cordage and canvas store and the Admiral's house.
