The south corner of the harbour at Bahia, Brazil
The south corner of the harbour at Bahia, Brazil, taken from near the Elevador Lacerta looking north-west and down showing a large number of single masted, lateen rigged sailing vessels crowded into the corner of the harbour. In the background is the harbour breakwater and some lighters are moored near it. The building in the foreground has two blinds projecting over the pavement and Novo Cafe is printed on a banner attached to them. On the left is the tower of the Elevador Lacerta. A vertical format image, probably taken in the period 1948-1949.
