The quay at the north end of the port at Bahia, Brazil. The photographer is on board the passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) as she manoeuvres towards her berth. A floating crane is on the left and a number of single and two masted sailing vessels are alongside the quay. Two track mounted cranes, one being numbered 10, and a railway tank locomotive are on the quay which also contains heaps of coal. The ten curved roof sheds of Wilson Sons & Co Ltd are on the shoreline with a church beyond them.
