On board the Orient Line cruise ship at Balholm, Norway, with passengers disembarking for a shore excursion.

On board the Orient Line cruise ship at Balholm, Norway, with passengers disembarking for a shore excursion. The ship is anchored in Sognefjord and the photographer is looking forward along the port side from the top of the accommodation ladder showing passengers embarking into three of the ship's boats from a platform rigged to one of the shell doors. The boats are made fast alongside each other with motor lifeboat number 4 in the centre and pulling boats 2 and 5 on either side of her. A number of local rowing boats are close by and the traders in two of them are trying to interest the ship's passengers in their goods for sale.
