A port side view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) alongside the eastern jetty at Immingham on the River Humber.
A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) alongside the eastern jetty at Immingham on the River Humber. The photographer is on the bend of the jetty looking towards the end of it and showing a boat train alongside the ship. The ship is flying the Blue Peter flag from the bridge halyard. Passengers are lining the deck rails watching the scene ashore and two embarkation brows are rigged, one amidships and one aft. The boat train has at least ten coaches and they are a mixed lot, including one with a clerestory roof.
