A part of the village of Balholm on the shore of Sognefjord, Norway. The photographer is on board a vessel in the fjord looking towards the shore showing the steamer landing stage on the left with a passenger excursion motor launch alongside a jetty adjacent to it. Two pairs of registered motor fishing vessels, one of which has the identification R-5-B on the bow, are moored in front of a building which has the name Meieri on the flank wall under the roof. Next to one of these pairs is the Junkers F13W floatplane, Code No. 650, serials LN-ABH. Its engine cowling has a canvas cover over it. This aircraft first flew in 1923 in Germany as D260 but was sold to Norway as N-44, certified 5 June 1930 as owned by Nordenfjeldske Flyveruter AS of Trondheim. She was re-registered as LN-ABH on 20 June 1932, owned by Nord-Norges Aero AS of Narvik. Sold to Germany 27 August 1934 and nothing further known.
