An Admiralty 'M'-class destroyer lying at a mooring
This three-funnelled destroyer is dateable to 1915-18: the location is unidentifiable. If the dark band above the ship is intended to represent a coatline, its moor-like tonality , suggests Scottish waters such as Scapa Flow, but if just a dark sky it could be in southern English waters on an equivalent gloomy day.
