A number of rowing boats alongside the passenger cruise ship Franconia (1923) in Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados. The larger four boats, including one named Lilywhite, are used to ferry passengers ashore. The other seven boats are used by local young people to dive for coins thrown for them by the passengers of the cruise ship. The names of these smaller boats are Union, Texas, Eagle, Dave, Delaware, Ohio and Eve and the latter three contain a female diver. The photographer is looking down from the deck of the Franconia just above the accommodation ladder.
