Two studies of fighting vessels
The sketch on the left has the general outline of the battleships 'Swiftsure' and 'Triumph', both launched in 1903. These are the only two ships that come anywhere near to this image. For the vessel on the right, the arrangement of funnels, masts, bridge and tops narrow the possibilities down to one of the eight 'Diadem'-class first-class protected cruisers, launched between 1896 and 1898.
