Two studies of various fighting vessels including submarines, and the Royal Yacht 'Victoria and Albert III'
The top image is of an 'A'-class submarine with torpedo boats or destroyers, probably about 1906, before the submarine's conning tower was enlarged.The bottom image is also of an 'A'-class submarine in the period prior to 1908 when the conning tower was modified. The 'Victoria and Albert III' (1899) is making passage in the right background of the lower study.
