HMS Ark Royal (1950)

No 1 [Flight] Deck, location 1N: View forward along the starboard side of the island superstructure at about frame 112. The door in the centre leads to the flight deck equipment store and the one to the left leads to the engineers' ready use store.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
