The nearest boat has a crew of four comprising an officer (the man with a badged cap), two rowers forward and a steersman aft and the six passengers are seated on chairs fitted on top of the midship cabin. The furthest boat is of similar design but has eight passengers seated on chairs on top of the cabin.
