In the Bosphorus looking south-west at the fortress of Rumeli Hisari, also known as the Europe Towers, on the west bank. The photographer is on board the passenger cruise ship Orford (1928) looking aft and to port showing passengers at the rail. The bow of the lifeboat number 20 can be seen in its davits on the poop. A vertical format negative.
