HMS Ark Royal (1950)

No 2 [Upper Gallery] Deck, location vicinity of 2C. Interior of the Scullery/Servery for the Junior Ratings' Dining Hall. The picture is dominated by a large table in the foreground, with a row of hat cabinets to the left. A toasting machine is bolted to the wall's surface on the right. The shutters on the far side are the serving hatches. The next picture is also of this compartment.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
