No 2 [Upper Gallery] Deck, location vicinity of 2C. Interior of the Scullery/Servery for the Junior Ratings' Dining Hall. The picture is dominated by a long table with built in storage racks. A storage rack for serving cutlery is to the left, flanked by toasting machines/heaters. The shutters for the serving hatch can be seen to the middle/right. The previous picture is also of this compartment.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
