The city and harbour at Cadiz, Spain, from a tower window in Cadiz Cathedral.

A general view of the city and harbour at Cadiz, Spain, from an opening high in one of the towers of the Cadiz Cathedral. The photographer is looking north-east showing the Cadiz A Moret statue to the right of centre of the picture. This is of Segismundo Moret y Prendergast (1833-1913), was done by Agustu Querol y Subirats and was erected in 1906. A large advertisement for Gonzalez Byass Jerez, Vinos - Conac is on a framework fixed to the roof of a waterside building. Passenger and cargo ships are alongside the east quays in the harbour and an unidentified single funnelled passenger/cargo ship is at anchor in the roadstead. She looks to be either the Strathmore (1935) or the Stratheden (1937) in the immediate post war period while painted in overall grey but this cannot be confirmed.
