A general view of some of the shipping berths in the harbour at Cagliari, Sardinia, taken from seaward. In the centre is a laden cargo ship which has a forecastle, a long poop, two masts and a single funnel which has a white cross on it. Next to her is a passenger/cargo coastal liner whose name commences with Citta Di .... On the right is the Station Maritime building with a number of people standing in front of the portico entrance. This building was destroyed by bombing in 1943. On the skyline on the right above the town is the dome of the Santa Maria di Castello Cathedral.
