Engraving guage
Three point gauge used by Roy Cooney, size 18. Made from a short length of clock spring set in a dowelling handle. The guage was used to lightly mark the surface of the copper with guidelines by drawing it along a straight edge or French curve. This controlled the line and size of lettering including names, notes and title lines.
