Shipping in the harbour at Catania, Sicily
Various types of small sailing and rowing craft in the harbour at Catania, Sicily. Most of the craft are single masted fishing or general cargo vessels with lateen sails. A two-masted topsail schooner is berthed alongside a quay on the left. In the foreground are a number of rowing boats and many of them have extended stemposts. A single storey building on the quayside has Jonica Societe Canottieri on it.
