Various types of small sailing and rowing craft in the harbour at Catania, Sicily. Most of the craft are single masted fishing or general cargo vessels with lateen sails. A two-masted topsail schooner is berthed alongside a quay on the left. In the foreground are a number of rowing boats and many of them have extended stemposts.
