The harbour and roadstead at Kavalla, Greece, taken from the east quay.
The harbour and roadstead at Kavalla, Greece, taken from the east quay. Three caiques, some lighters, a motor launch and rowing boats are at anchor or moored in the harbour. The passenger cruise ship City Of London (1907), seen from off her port beam, is at anchor in the roadstead. She is riding high in the water as she is not carrying any cargo. The south breakwater is on the left of the picture. This town is variously spelt Kavalla, Kavala and Cavala.
