The canal on the north-west side of the island of Slotsholmen at Copenhagen, Denmark, looking north-by-east. Fishing boats are berthed along the canal and pole nets and funnel nets are drying. Motor cars and lorries are on the Nybro Gade and fish boxes are stacked up on the side of the roadway. The buildings include Stjernen Cafe, H.C. Hansen offices, Fiskeri & Skibsmonteringen "Dana", Dane-Frisor, Krog's Fiske Restaurant, Henri Thorsen and Fiskehusets Restaurant. A pennant flying from the roof of a building has A/S C. Olesen on it.
