Men at work on the foreshore at Corunna, Spain.

A gang of men at work on the foreshore at Corunna, Spain. They are working with heavy metal objects and are using a sledgehammer and gas cylinders. The photographer is looking south-east across the foreshore showing the Canadian Pacific Steamships passenger cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914) at anchor offshore. She is seen from off her starboard bow and she has an unidentified cargo ship alongside. Another passenger cruise ship is at anchor in the centre of the picture, almost hidden in the sea mist. The Castel de San Anton is on the extreme left of the picture.
