The Punda side of Santa Anna Bay in Willemstad harbour, Curacao. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship in the bay looking south-east from the mouth of the Waaigat showing the quayside and buildings of the Punda district. Cars are parked on the square at the entrance to the Waaigat and lighters, a steam launch and rowing boats are moored at the corner. Five schooners and a single masted vessel are alongside the quay. The schooners include the Johanna (fl. 1930), Niagara (fl. 1930) and Carlota (fl. 1930). The Niagara (fl. 1930) has B56 painted on her bow and the Johanna (fl. 1930) and Carlota (fl. 1930) are both registered at Curacao. The buildings facing the harbour include the All America Cables Inc. offices, the premises of Prospero Baiz & Ca., Foto-Jacob, Surinaamsch Handelsagentschap, Vriendenkring, W.C. de Jongh, Hotel Suiza, Cafe Suiza, Palais Royal and Marchena Moron & Co.
