The Dutch Navy training cruiser Gelderland (1898) is alongside the Curacao Trading Co wharf and the cargo liner Alemania (1921) is alongside the Hamburg-Amerika wharf. The quayside is lined with Dutch flags on flagpoles and the ships in Santa Anna Bay and Schottegat Bay are dressed overall. The festivities may be in celebration of the wedding of Princess Juliana of the Netherlands to Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld on 7 January 1937.
