The Waaigat and the Punda side of Santa Anna Bay in Willemstad harbour, Curacao. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship in the bay looking south-east from north of the Waaigat showing the wharf of the Curacao Trading Company on the left next to the entrance to the Waaigat. A number of sailing vessels are berthed alongside the De Ruyterkade on the south side of the Waaigat, cars are parked in the square and lighters and rowing boats are moored at the corner. Five schooners are alongside the Punda district quay and the outboard one is the Niagara (fl. 1930) with B56 painted on her bow. Inboard of her is a schooner with C7 on her bow, showing she is registered at Curacao. The buildings facing the harbour include the All America Cables Inc. offices, Foto-Jacob, Surinaamsch Handelsagentschap, Hotel Suiza, Cafe Suiza, Palais Royal and Marchena Moron & Co.
