The Punda district on the south-east side of Santa Anna Bay in Willemstad harbour, Curacao. The photographer is looking east-south-east from on board a passenger cruise ship passing through the Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge which is open. The end of the bridge is in the centre of the picture. Cars and a charabanc are on the quayside. The buildings facing the harbour include the premises of the Club De Gezelligheid, the Hollandsche Bank, Tischer & Co., El Cristal, the Horn Linie offices, G. Troost and the Baratillo Stores. Other buildings include the Hotel Pan Grande and La Casa Aramilla. The end of Fort Amsterdam's wall is on the right.
