A port side view, taken from abaft the beam, of an unidentified Conchita class (1924-1928) coastal tanker under way in Santa Anna Bay at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is on the Otrabanda district side of the bay near the approach to the Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge which has been swung open to permit the inward passage of the laden tanker. In the left foreground is the bust of Admiral Luis Brion (1782-1821), motor vehicles are parked in the plaza and on the left is an Hollywood poster for the 1936 film "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine". On the far side of the bay are the warehouses of the Hamburg-Amerika Linie and the Curacao Trading Company S.A. Two 2-masted schooners are berthed on the Punda district quay in front of the buildings of the All America Cables Inc., the Curacao Trading Company S.A., E. & C. Martijn and W.C. De Jongh.
