The floating market and the Waaigat at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is at the east end of the market looking west towards Santa Anna Bay and the Otrabanda district. Cargo lighters are alongside the Curacao Trading Company wharf on the north side of the Waaigat. A lighter laden with sawn timber is being unloaded on the south side of the Waaigat and beyond it are the cutters and schooners forming the floating market. They all have awnings rigged above their decks.
