The east bank of Santa Anna Bay at Willemstad, Curacao.

On board a passenger cruise ship under way bound out in Santa Anna Bay at Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is on the port side of the forward part of the superstructure looking forward over the welldeck and forecastle showing the east bank of the bay. A 2-masted schooner and the German flagged cargo ship Alemania (1921) are alongside the Hamburg-Amerika Linie wharf and lighters are alongside the Curacao Trading Company wharf. A lighter laden with logs is alongside the Alemania (1921) which is seen from off her starboard quarter. The Punda district quay has schooners berthed alongside it and Fort Amsterdam is at the entrance to the bay. The Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge is open to allow the cruise ship to leave harbour.
