Stacks of cut and chopped timber are in the foreground on the left with wooden huts beyond them. On the far side of the inlet is a large timber yard containing stacks of sawn timber under sloping roofs and to the right is the sawmill with its large chimney. In the background are the tower of the church and the Brakanes Hotel.
