The village of Eidfjord on the shore of the Eidfjord, Norway. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship at anchor in the Eidfjord looking towards the Hotel Voringfos which is on the left of the picture. Also on the left are a single storey building close to a quay and behind this building is a wooden building with Landhandel painted on it. On the right the tower of the church can be seen. Three of the ship's motor lifeboats are shuttling passengers between the ship and the shore and a small motor coaster is at anchor on the right. Mountains form the backdrop.
