The village of Ulvik on Ulvikfjord, Norway.

The village of Ulvik on the west shore of Ulvikfjord, Norway. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship which is at anchor. The sawmill with its tall chimney is on the left with the impressive Brakanes Hotel next to it. A large residential building, possibly another hotel, and Ulvik church are in the centre. Other buildings are scattered amongst the trees and the top of the hill is densely wooded with mountains beyond. A P. & O. Line ship's motor lifeboat number 17 is returning to the ship from the shore. The negative is incorrectly captioned Eidfjord and Eidfjord is scratched into the margin of the negative.
