The waterfront and Grove Place, Falmouth, Cornwall
The waterfront and Grove Place, Falmouth, Cornwall. The photographer is looking south-east from the shore in front of Grove Place at low tide showing the granite pyramid Killigrew Monument surrounded by trees to the left of centre of the picture. Dried out on the foreshore is the ketch Eclipse (1892), seen from her starboard beam, which was broken up at Falmouth in early 1938.
