HMS Ark Royal (1950)
No. 3 [Upper Hangar] Deck. The after part of the hangar space, looking to port from the vicinity of frame 153. Among the miscellaneous items of equipment on deck are stowage areas for Fairey Gannet propellers, handling poles, servicing cable, an aircraft electrical servicing socket and a reel of hydraulic hose. In the centre of the picture is Fire Point no. 10. Large equipment storage shelves are at 'tween' deck and Upper Gallery Deck levels. The doorway to the right is part of the fireprooof screen arrangement and leads to the forward half of the hangar.
