The aircraft component stowage spars and overhead gantries are clearly visible. A large curtain has been fitted to the bulkhead in the area of the Uptake Space at 7PZ0, with a prominent crest on the front (in tribute to Ark Royal, but not the ship's official crest).

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
