No. 3 [Upper Hangar] Deck. Interior of the hangar, looking to starboard from the vicinity of frame 150. To the left is Fire Point no. 11 and next to it the watertight door leading to access lobby 3TI-00. On the right is the closed hatch for weapons/bomb lift 1/7T3. Between these is a mix of aircraft maintenance and safety equipment. At 'tween deck' and Upper Gallery Deck levels are large equipment and stores stowage shelves.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
