On board the passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) during a cruise into the Dardanelles looking towards Sedd el Bahr Fort at Cape Helles on the Gallipoli peninsula. The photographer is on the centre of the bridge deck looking forward and to port showing the foremast and some people on the forecastle taking in the sights. He is looking east-by-north and beyond the ruins of the fort is the signal station and two wireless masts. A vertical format negative.
